Yes, you can. At Ann Wilson Funerals, we honour every story and encourage families to personalise the service to represent the personality and values of their loved one. From music and flowers to the type of service, we’re here to help you say goodbye in whatever way feels most appropriate for you and your family.
Our locations have an on-site chapel which you’re welcome to use – the cost is included in our fee. However, you do not need to hold the service in our chapel. We have organised services in churches, parks, beaches and a wide range of alternative venues. We’ll work with you to plan a funeral that reflects your loved one's wishes.
Please speak to your funeral director about adding a live stream to your loved one's farewell, we'll take it from there.
Funeral costs vary depending on your choices such as the service type, casket, flowers and more. Your funeral director will explain each option and provide a clear cost estimate. You can also view our pricing in advance.
Most funerals are held within a week of passing. However, we can work to your timeline. We appreciate other factors may influence the timing of the service, such as those travelling from out of town. We can care for your loved one until you’re ready.
For the initial planning meeting, we recommend bringing a supportive family member or friend, their personal details including full name, date of birth, residence and marriage certificates, a recent photo and any prepaid funeral plan documents. Decisions around presentation (clothing, perfume and makeup) and photos to be included in funeral books can be made later in the planning process.
There’s no need to rush. We’ll guide you through each step at a pace that feels right, helping with immediate arrangements while allowing time to make thoughtful decisions about the service.
